These Easy Antipasto Charcuterie Skewers with Bocconcini and Salami are a quick, flavorful, and mess-free party snack perfect for impressing guests without any stress.

Ingredients

  • Bocconcini (small mozzarella balls), drained
  • Thinly sliced salami (mild or spicy)
  • Cherry tomatoes, washed
  • Marinated olives (green and black, pitted)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Artichoke hearts, quartered and drained (optional)
  • Roasted red peppers, sliced into strips (optional)
  • Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)
  • Wooden skewers or toothpicks (about 6-inch length)

Instructions

  1. Drain the bocconcini well to avoid soggy skewers. Rinse cherry tomatoes and pat dry. Slice roasted red peppers and quarter artichokes if using.
  2. Cut salami slices into halves or thirds so they fold neatly onto the skewers without overpowering other ingredients.
  3. Thread one cherry tomato, one bocconcini ball, a folded slice of salami, an olive, and a fresh basil leaf onto each skewer. Alternate colors and textures for visual appeal. Add artichoke or roasted pepper if desired.
  4. Arrange the skewers flat or stand them upright in a shallow dish for easy access.
  5. Just before serving, drizzle extra virgin olive oil and a little balsamic glaze over the skewers for flavor boost and shine.

Notes

Use fresh bocconcini for best texture and pat dry if watery. Fold salami slices into thirds for better fit and volume on skewers. Assemble skewers just before serving to keep basil fresh and avoid sogginess. Vegan mozzarella balls can substitute bocconcini for dairy-free version. Check salami ingredients for gluten-free compliance.
