Crisp apple slices topped with a warm, smooth peanut butter drizzle, dark chocolate chips, crunchy nuts, and a pinch of flaky sea salt. A quick, healthy, and satisfying snack that comes together in just five minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended), cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (mini chips preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Core them and slice into thin rounds, about 1/4-inch thick. Arrange the slices in a single layer on a serving platter, slightly overlapping.
  2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter, coconut oil, and maple syrup or honey. Microwave for 15-20 seconds, then stir until smooth. If too thick, microwave for another 10 seconds and stir again. The consistency should be like warm honey.
  3. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture evenly over the apple slices, using a spoon or a small measuring cup with a spout. Zigzag back and forth for full coverage.
  4. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips, chopped pecans or walnuts, and coconut flakes (if using) evenly over the apples.
  5. Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt over the entire platter.
  6. Serve immediately while the apples are crisp and the drizzle is warm. Best enjoyed within 10-15 minutes.

Notes

For best results, slice apples just before serving to prevent browning. To keep apples from browning, toss slices with a little lemon juice. The peanut butter drizzle can be thinned with a bit of warm water if needed. These nachos do not store well; make only what you will eat immediately. For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter and omit nuts.
