This Easy Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Foam Coffee is a quick and simple recipe that brings the seasonal magic of fall into your home. Made with real cream, milk, pumpkin, and spices, it’s a creamy, lightly spiced foam that sits perfectly on top of your coffee, slowly swirling in as you drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup (60ml) 2% milk
  • ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 12 tablespoons (15-30ml) maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) strong brewed coffee (dark roast or cold brew)

Instructions

  1. Brew Your Coffee (1 minute): Start by brewing a strong cup of your favorite coffee. Pour it into your favorite mug.
  2. Combine the Foam Base (1 minute): In a tall jar or cup, combine the ¼ cup of cold 2% milk, ¼ cup of cold heavy cream, 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree, 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup, ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a tiny pinch of salt. Give it a quick stir with a spoon to start breaking up the pumpkin puree.
  3. Froth Until Thick (30-60 seconds): Place your milk frother into the jar, tilting it slightly so the head is submerged but not touching the bottom. Turn it on and move it in a gentle up-and-down motion. Froth until the mixture transforms into a thick, creamy, pale orange foam that holds soft peaks, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Check the Consistency: The foam should be thick enough to slowly slide off a spoon. If it’s still runny, froth for another 10-15 seconds.
  5. Assemble Your Coffee (30 seconds): Take a spoon and gently hold it just above the surface of your hot coffee. Slowly pour the pumpkin cream foam over the back of the spoon to help it float on top.
  6. Serve Immediately: Enjoy right away while the cold, creamy foam meets the hot coffee.

Notes

Keep milk and cream cold for best foam. Use 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Adjust sweetness to taste. Use the spoon trick to help foam float. For dairy-free, use full-fat oat milk and coconut cream.
