A quick and easy frozen treat combining creamy Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, and bittersweet dark chocolate chips for a refreshing and guilt-free snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (about 500g) plain full-fat or 2% Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/3 cup (about 60g) dark chocolate chips (60-70% cacao)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 inch baking sheet with parchment paper, covering the edges for easy handling.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and lemon zest if using. Stir gently until smooth.
  3. Pour the yogurt mixture onto the lined baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thickness.
  4. Scatter the sliced strawberries evenly over the yogurt, then sprinkle dark chocolate chips on top, pressing lightly to stick.
  5. Freeze the baking sheet for at least 4 hours or overnight until the bark is completely firm.
  6. Lift the parchment paper from the baking sheet and break the bark into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

Use full-fat or 2% Greek yogurt for creaminess and better texture. If yogurt is too runny, strain with cheesecloth for 30 minutes before mixing. Press chocolate chips lightly into yogurt before freezing to help them stick. For easier cleanup, lightly grease parchment paper before spreading yogurt. Freeze overnight for best results. Can substitute coconut or almond-based yogurt and maple syrup for a vegan version. Add nuts or other berries for variations.
