These spooky deviled eggs feature a creamy, spicy yolk filling topped with a striking red sriracha spiderweb design, making them a perfect, easy-to-make Halloween appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for filling)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 23 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (for web)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (for web)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a pot and cover with cold water by an inch. Bring to a rolling boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice water bath and let cool for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Peel the eggs under running water and trim the bottom slightly to create a flat base.
  4. Slice eggs in half lengthwise and scoop out yolks into a mixing bowl.
  5. Mash yolks with a fork, then whisk in 1/2 cup mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Spoon the yolk mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe into the egg white halves.
  7. In a small bowl, mix Sriracha sauce, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, and lemon juice until combined.
  8. Transfer the Sriracha mixture to a piping bag with a small round tip.
  9. Draw spiderwebs on top of the filling by making small tight circles in the center and radiating lines outward.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Keep everything cold to prevent mayonnaise separation. If the filling is lumpy, sieve it. If the web tears, the mixture is too thick; add a drop more mayo. For best results, pipe the webs just before serving to prevent color bleeding.
