A game-day charcuterie board featuring soft pretzels, a variety of cheeses, meats, and dips. It’s easy to assemble in 15 minutes and perfect for sharing while watching football.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) soft pretzel bites or mini pretzels
  • 1 cup (about 100g) pretzel sticks
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning (optional)
  • 8 ounces (225g) sharp cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
  • 1 cup (240ml) beer cheese dip
  • 8 ounces (225g) brie or camembert, at room temperature
  • 6 ounces (170g) pepper jack cheese, sliced
  • 6 ounces (170g) salami or pepperoni, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces (115g) prosciutto, torn into ribbons
  • ¼ cup (60ml) spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey
  • ½ cup (120ml) ranch dressing or dip
  • 1 apple (Granny Smith), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup (150g) red or green grapes
  • ½ cup (80g) pickles or cornichons
  • ½ cup (70g) roasted and salted nuts (almonds or cashews)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the bowls first (2 minutes). Spoon the beer cheese dip into one small bowl. Add the spicy brown mustard to another. Drizzle the honey into a third. Place these bowls on the board first, spaced out so they anchor the layout.
  2. Slice the cheeses (3 minutes). Cut the sharp cheddar into thin triangles or small cubes. Slice the pepper jack into similar-sized pieces. Leave the brie whole, but score the top in a crosshatch pattern. Arrange the cheeses in clusters around the bowls.
  3. Fold the meats (2 minutes). Fold each salami slice in half, then in half again to create a bundle. Tear the prosciutto into ribbons. Place the salami bundles near the cheddar and the prosciutto near the brie.
  4. Build the pretzel ‘end zone’ (3 minutes). Arrange the soft pretzel bites in a rough rectangle at one end of the board. Scatter the pretzel sticks vertically along one side. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the soft pretzels if using.
  5. Add the fresh elements (2 minutes). Tuck apple slices and grapes into gaps between cheese and meat clusters. Scatter pickles and nuts in small piles around the board to fill empty spaces.
  6. Garnish and serve (1 minute). Tuck fresh herb sprigs here and there for color. Serve immediately at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, let cheeses sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before assembling. If making ahead, prep everything except apple slices and soft pretzels; cover and refrigerate, then add apples and pretzels just before serving. To keep soft pretzels from drying out, keep a backup batch in a warm oven (200°F) and swap at halftime.
