Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (13-ounce) bag restaurant-style tortilla chips
  • 3 cups cooked pulled pork
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
  • 1/4 cup salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Spread half of the tortilla chips in an even, single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Evenly distribute half of the pulled pork and half of the black beans over the chips.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the pork and beans.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining chips, pulled pork, black beans, and cheese.
  6. Bake for 8-12 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and chips are golden at the edges.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately top with pickled jalapeños, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and cilantro.
  8. Dollop sour cream and salsa over the top, then scatter diced avocado. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

For crispiest chips, bake empty chips for 2-3 minutes before adding toppings. Warm pulled pork before layering. Shred cheese from a block for best melting. Serve immediately for best texture.
